I have only been a CNA for a little over a year and just recently changed facilities. I was working where i felt completely undervalued as aperson as well as CNA. I am thrilled the facility is way nicer and i got a pay increase. Not only that but the general attitudes of the residents is better(i.e. no biting, scratching, punching). I do however miss residents I have grown to care a great deal for. I'm hoping this will renew my faith in nursing!

Hang in there! It's good you made the change. Working in a place with low morale and negativity will only bring you down and cause depression. You made the right choice. You'll find other patients to love.

I agree with char, you made the right choice. Don't think of what may have been, think of all the worderful new opportinities that are ahead of you.

life is full of changes- its whether or not you choose to accept it and make it better. or like me today- wallow and cry about something that can be changed. i felt much better after talking to others about it and i have now figuered a way out of my sullen sorrows. i fixed it and it sounds like you did a wonderful job of standing up for yourself. and it pays off- huh== keep your head up. things will be great for you- remain confident in who you are and your work. and you will go far../good luck
