It is for young children. It is a virus and other than supportive measures and steriods to keep the swelling down, it has to run its course.

one thing my daughter was told was to take the child into the bathroom with the door shut and run the shower with hot water for a few minutes to produce steam which will help to loosen the congestion. I still believe in Vick's vapor rub. It works wonders and will help with this as well. Rub on child's chest or use in vaporizer.

Actually believe it or not Vick's works even better if rubbed on bottom of feet with socks applied. According to chinese medicine, the feet are one of the best healing points. I know it works for me when I have chest congestion and have used it on my home care kidlet.

well i have been usin the baby vicks it dont seem to be doin much. she has it pretty bad though so. they told me to quit doin the steam adn do a cool mist and saline nebs. she just sounds really crappy i mean really crappy hope she gets better soon
