Posted almost 6 years ago Have any of you ever thought about opening your own nursing-related small business? I know that more and more nurses are doing this. There seem to be so many opportunities in the consulting world and with nursing technology. |

Posted over 5 years ago I am in the process of opening my own consulting business among a large group of specialists who are in the same specialty. It's exciting to have arrived at this stage after more than thirty years in nursing, acute care, ambulatory, and geriatrics. It's not like you can quit your " other job " because consulting work isn't always a guaranteed paycheck.

Posted over 5 years ago I'm no longer actively working as an RN. I own my own recruiting business, directly from my home. I had been an OR nurse but a sudden acute hearing loss, made me realize I couldn't hear well enough to keep my patients safe. No commute, I work in my jammies, sweats, jeans, braless, shoeless and no one cares if I've combed my hair.

Posted over 5 years ago I'm in the process of starting my own photography business, but have also discussed the possibility of an assistant managerial position of a small adult day-care with a co-worker. Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, worn out and screaming "Woo-hoo"!!!

Posted over 5 years ago Great subject. I'm an entrepreneur myself. And I've developed a method for healthcare professionals, or any individual or entity with an audience of medical professionals, to share in staffing revenue without liability or selling. Today's technology has made is all possible without me having to write one line of code. The whole project has been a vision of mine for years. I've always wanted to find a way to give medical professionals the ability to confidentially market their profile... and share in the revenue earned due to their professional qualifications. My site is TheCandidateNetwork.com.... be sure to review the "Promote Us" link. Students can use this to help pay for school. Schools can use this to pay for additional professors... the possibilities are endless.
