Posted about 5 years ago Well Pam asked that I post about what school is like for me. I go to a private school called Reinhardt College in Waleska Ga. I really like it here. One of the best parts is that the class size are pretty small. I had one class with only 5 students. I am getting my pre-nursing degree and will transfer to Emory University In Atlanta Ga for nursing school! School gets pretty tough. Reinhardt is a liberal college so you have to take a lot of classes such an English, Psychology, sociology, etc., that do not necessarily have anything to do with your major but are intended to make you a more "well-rounded" individual. Here at Reinhardt the professors really push you. Sometimes they may come off as mean because they want you to know why you believe what you believe and be able to support it. A lot of people do not like that. One thing that aggravates me about some of my peers is that they want to be treated like adults but when they fail because they do not go to class and do the work they get mad. I love to learn! I am learning that the more I learn about different things the more things I like. I have also become a little more open minded about things. I mean I still have my morals and my views on things, but I have learned a lot about not looking down or judging people because they may think differently and that my way is not always the right or only right way. I have become a lot more open. I feel however, a little overwhelmed sometimes. I get so tired of school because I feel like that ALL I do is study and go to class. But I just keep my eyes fixed on my goal. I come from a poorer family and I do not want to struggle like my parents have. I want to be able to provide for my family a little better! I am so excited about becoming a nurse! I just want to go around the world and love on people! Maybe even make them laugh and feel better! |
