Posted about 5 years ago hi everyone! I am preparing to take the TEAS test for entrance into nursing school in June! I feel pretty good about all of it....except the math!!!!! I have never been that good at math (except for everyday general math) and I am scared that Algebra is going to trip me up! I did graduate, but that was so long ago and I have totally forgotten how to do most Algebra! And now, the math seems way more complicated than it did 20+ years ago!! Does anyone have any advice for acing this test and also can anyone tell me if math in actual nursing school is hard also???? Thanks sooooo much!! |

| Posted about 5 years ago Most of the math in nursing is pretty straight forward. If you can do ratio and proportion, you can do just about any drug dosage calculation you need to. There are other methods that involve formulas for those of us (like me) who can't handle ratio and proportion, but it all boils down to basic arithmetic. I have no idea how hard the TEAS actually is. I'd get a basic review book on math and work a few problems for practice before the test. |
