Adrienne, what a strong person you are for having the courage to speak up (fully aware of what the repercussions might be). I hope you know that there are many routing for you.

I truly support you, Adrienne. We, as nurses, all know that this kind of behavior exists, not just at the noted facility, but at many. Kudos to you for having the bravery to speak out, so that what has been 'our little secret' for so many years, can be made known to the public. If the public only knew that many doctors actually state "now who is this again?" and base many of their decisions on the information that we nurses provide to them because they themselves do not know, would be surprising to many. Many nurses have nursing horror stories, and know the consequences of speaking out, so it's no surprise to you, I'm sure. Nonetheless, despite those foreseen consequences, you took the initiative to expose the truth. Hats off to you. Indeed doors will open, as with any book that exposes the truth, there are rewards to follow.....maybe not in dollar signs, but just in knowing that you have spoken the truth. Brave, brave woman. First of all congratulations on your book; you must be very proud. I have a desire to write, and have learned from your experience. My prayer is that you are blessed throughout your continued endeavors, and hope that you can continue to practice nursing if that's what you want to do.

I am an RN that worked at the Cleveland Clinic for many years. Although I was in a different specialty area I am familiar with the behavior that Adrienne talks about. In my area we had flashes of this but I know for a fact that in the area of cardiac it was a nightmare for nursing. I think that the CCF is a wonderful healthcare institution and I would not hesitate to use. However, they are maniacal in protecting their " Disneyland" image from public scrutiny. Nursing is not supported and if you were lucky enough to have an MD backing you even that was a roll of the dice depending on which way the wind was blowing. The CCF will fire you in a New York minute if you stray from the Jim Jones Koolaid line. Adrienne continue to tell your story because in contains threads of every nurse's story. Thank you and I look forward to reading both books.

I don't think she could have forseen that she would be fired for writing this book. I'm sure she never expected all the attention she is getting for writing this book. Firing her has turned out to be a good thing for her in this situation. When one door closes, another opens. Good luck Adrienne in whatever you decide to do from now on!
