I am searching for information on how to become certified as a wound care nurse in a long term care setting. I appreciate any information.
Thank you,
Romine

I utilized the program from Wound Care Education Institute, was a 4 day long very intense seminar with day 5 being for the written test. Just go to their website and see when the next class closest to you is, tuition is a bit pricey but if your into wounds like I am then it is definately worth the investment, you could also approach your employer to foot the bill as you will be a valuable asset to your facility especially with the way the F314 tag has been revised. If you need any further assistance just hollar - GOOD LUCK, Bridget

I have been a LPN for over 16 yrs, with most of my career being in wound care and I love it, is this program for LPNS also , or just RNS like most of them???

This program is for anyone wanting to advance in Wound Care knowledge. We had LPN's, RN;s, PT's and a MD in our class - anyone can take the course to gain the knowledge - in the past they have even had lawyers attend for the added knowledge. Just visit their website @ www.woundcareeducationinstitute.com or www.wcei.com.
