And verily, verily I say unto thee that some day it shall come to pass that from the earth there shall come a thundering roar, fire and smoke, and from the darkness, fire and smoke an Angel shall rise. Thou cannot speaketh his name for Hell follows him |

| Posted about 5 years ago My true friends include my mother (we have had 800 to 1200 miles between us since 1981, and it makes for a Wonderful friendship!), my friend Sue who I met in 1990 (her husband moved his practice here, and I worked with both of them in a private OB/GYN practice), and my banker buds (who I met and began working with in 1997 for 10 years), one of which we sent on today. Bon voyage my bud - it was a rush, and now you are home! |

| Posted about 5 years ago My true friends are two people I've known since 3rd grade and 5th grade. I met Emmy (Emily) in 3rd and Katie in 5th.. Emmy and I met playing checkers adn Katie and I met when Ifound her gloves and returned them to her. We've been good friends since then and that has been I guess 10 or 11 years for emmy and 8 or 9 for Katie. We help each other through the bad times and we have so much fun when we are together. We always get together when we have breaks from school and I think we will stay friends until we are old ladies! I hope we all don't move too far apart when we decide to and I hope maybe one day we could have babies at the same time! That would be cool! I love those two! They are awesome! |

| Posted about 5 years ago I have been very blessed with friends. I have some very very close friends. One my frined (Judy) who helped me through the most difficult time in my life (when I was 15 and lost a parent). We have been friends since even though I moved to California and she remained in Michigan for over 17 years. We still keep in touch. Another I met in 9th grade at a public library where we were both doing research for a book report. We went to different high schools but became friends and have stayed close ever since. (she went on to become a Doctor) She lives in Minn. and whenever she gets near me we always go out for lunch or dinner. Mainly we stay in touch through phone conversations, email, letters and cards! My other best friend was there for me when my marriage fell apart and she helped me hold it together. She is another long-distance friend. And whenever we talk whether its 1week, 1day, or 1year. We pick up right where we left off and its like it used to be when we lived next to each other and we would pop in and out of each others houses off and on all day. Her son is 1year older then my daughter and just left for Irac. I pray the Lord keeps him safe and returns him quickly home. These are my very best friends in the whole world. They each have been there for me on countless occasions. I am truely blessed to have each of them in my life. |

| Posted about 5 years ago My 'true friends' and I share a friendship - the simplicity and purity of enjoying a growing relationship that does not have an agenda, but is an ongoing dialogue of sharing the journey together - that does not place expectations on each other, rather, we have an expectancy that exists within our relationship. For example, when we see each other, or are apart, there is an expectancy of being together, of laughing and talking (sometimes even crying). That expectancy does not have a concrete definition; is is alive and dynamic and everything that emerges from our being together is a unique gift shared by no one else. So, to define my friend(s) would feel like putting expectations (spoken or unspoken) on the relationship itself, causing laws to be entered into the relationship. My friend (or myself) would be expected to perform in a way that meets expectations. Our living friendship would rapidly deteriorate into a dead thing with rules and requirements. It is no longer about my friend and me, but about what friends are supposed to do, or the responsibilities of a good friend. Sounds lofty, I know, but it allows room for the person to grow, the friendship to be what it is, and weeks, months, years and miles and miles to 'not' kill the relationship. Besides, expectations (and responsibilities) are the basis of guilt and shame and judgment, and they provide the essential framework that promotes performance as the basis for identity and value. Everyone knows what it is like not to live up to someone's expectations. The idea behind expecations requires that someone does not know the future or outcome and is trying to control behavior to get the desired result. Humans try to control behavior largely through expectations. If you have no expectations, you are never disappointed. And to the degree that you resort to expectations and responsibilities, you will live in fear. Expectancy is so much more fun! |

| Posted about 5 years ago Mickey said: thanks Mickey. Some Angels have the right to have the stereotype, I've encountered a few of them, who are just plain bad guys, one named Red Rooster infamous in California. However, I have met and liked far more Angels than I have ever feared or disliked. You just can't help liking some big tough guy who cries when his wife, child, friend, or stranger is hurt. My dog Morgan, he listens, he lays his head in my lap and snuggles or gives me a lick. He doesn't talk to others, telling them of my angst over my day. My friend Darlene, who doesn't snuggle or lick my face but gives me a figurative hug over the phone and listens, but she's another nurse and understands completely about a bad day |

| Posted about 5 years ago It's funny, I have a number of friends, but not too many "very close" friends. I've always been a sort of drifter. I'm very warm, caring, and honest, but not tied down to just one person as far as friends go...I guess I'm like a lil' dust mote! My best friend now is known as my better half, or my husband. ; ) Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, worn out and screaming "Woo-hoo"!!! |

| Posted about 5 years ago Friends? Well, now....God and my family are my best friends;however, a person NOT related to me would have to be Joyce Cox. She is almost like my second mom. I have know her since I was born. My parents were very close friends with Joyce and her husband Bill when we lived on the same block in Dallas, Texas. I can count on her for anything, anytime. My dad just had a stroke, and I spent nearly three weeks at her place. There is always a warm bed, picture albums full of memories, and two Jack Russel Terriers waiting for me there! A good man loves other. A better man loves God. A great man loves God and lives well among others! I miss you daddy!

| Posted about 5 years ago Being "military," you really don't have a chance to connect and make close bonds with many people. My best friend is my husband....no matter what my day is like....how bad of a mood I might be in......how sad I am because of things going wrong in life.....he is there to laugh with, to hang with, and to always love me no matter what, good or bad. |

| Posted about 5 years ago I have had many friends in my years but I am not a easy one to win my trust, because I have been hurt so much with so called friends. I do however have a best friend and that is my Mother! she is always there for my (no matter what), she gives me guidance and she listen when i need to vent, She doesn't judge me, or put me down! SHE WILL LET ME KNOW WHEN I AM WRONG!!! I can tell her anything and it doesn't go anywhere else. I can talk to her about anything (day or night) shes always there!!! SHE WILL NEVER DO ANYTHING TO HURT ME!!!!! I have a friend joann is her name and she is great! I can count on her, she loves my family like its her own. shes there on a drop of a hat for me! and i for her. if something ever happen to me i would trust her with my life and that is my children! | Posted about 5 years ago I have one bestfriend Ashley, and I have known her for 15years( 1st grade)!!! I also have 7 true friends that I have known for years, we all have remained friends through it all. Their names are Brittany, Trisia, Tanesha, Ebonee, Kendra, Jasmine, and Tenesha. Now I do have other friends, but these ladies have been around through thick and thin. Every where we go people always say"YALL ARE GOING TO BE FRIENDS FOREVER, AREN'T YOU?" and we simply laugh and say "YOU KNOW IT"!!! I love my friends just as much as I love my family, they are family to me. These are my sisters and I wouldn't trade any of them. To me the definition of friendship is anyone you can call at the 3 in the morning and tell them you are stranded and they get out the bed, without hesitation and come get you. Someone who is down to argue/ fight whomever you are aruging/fighting with and won't ask questions until after the fact. Someone who you can call when you just need to cry and vent about something going on in your life. Someone you share your secrets, clothes, and even your car with. A FRIEND IS SOMEONE WHO WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU WHEN YOU ARE DOWN AND WILL BE RIGHT BY YOUR SIDE SMILING WHEN YOU ARE ON TOP OF THE WORLD!!!!! |

| Posted about 5 years ago My definition of a true friend is someone that you can call at 3AM--no questions asked. Granda Siciliano used to say , "You can count your true friends on the fingers of one hand; and a true friend is someone that would carry you on their back." My five are my husband Matt, my sister Christine, Maureene, Marlene and Georgia |
