Hi all PN students
I applied for licensure in Florida state and I got answer that I do not have any courswork in Psych,Nutrition and sociology.Is it not integrated in Fundamentals of nursing?Do you have your clinical hours during the program in all wards/Psychiatry,pediatric,obstetric/?Please,somebody give me an answer ,I am lost.Thank you so much

I suppose the requirements vary from state to state, but in GA we had to take Psychology as a prereq and did a rotation during Med Surg at the state asylum. Diet and Nutrition was a separate course, but we took it as a class during the first quarter. You might (as suggested by our instructor) do better to get your initial license in the state in which you trained and then apply to other states for reciprocity.

I studied in Canada,so I am allready LPN,but moved to Florida,where they adviced me to take some courses in order to be eligible to take NACLEX.But anyway thank you for answering me.
