I was in school about 6 years ago and didn't do well at the beginning but better later, and because of that my grade point average isn't the best. I have to take some more prereqs and some classes over, but my questions is if i do really good from here on out with my grades will it raise my grades enough for me to get into the RN program. I read all of the posts of how hard it is to get into the nursing program and that you have to have really good grades, and it scares me. If i only knew then what i know now......

As far as I know grades do count but dont give up I was also in the same position you are in my advice to you is look in to a class that will offer you a LVN to RN dont know if thay have that in your area, however I live in Los Angeles, CA and it is offered.

You can also look into student forgiveness. I think if you do not take classes for a certain length of time they will drop your previous GPA. I'm not sure if that is offered everywhere, but worth the check! Good Luck!
