Hi jlsincllair -What is it about neonatal nursing that most interests you? At NursingLink we have career profiles on each nursing specialty. Here is the link for the Neonatal Nurse profile. It includes information including the average salary, educational requirements, links to related organizations, and books for purchase.

I think you should first figure out what type of program you want. Do you only want a two year degree? Or are you ready for a four year degree?

My recommendation is to get a bachelor's in nursing. You just need to research what schools around you offer them.

If you prefer a community college - then all you need to do is enroll for next year and do well in your sciences.

I think many schools require that you first take (and do well in) microbiology and A&P, and then you can apply to their programs.
