Posted about 5 years ago Okay, I recently stayed with my father after he had a stroke. I was in the hospital with him for about 2 weeks. He had a stroke. Many of the CNA's and a few of the RN's were very slow about changing my dad's sheets. He had a virus called C-Diff. So, he needed his bedding changed every 2 hours. I was willing to help since I was a CNA, but I felt like the RN staff should have stepped up to the plate. Have any of you ever had that kind of problem on the job or while visiting family in the hospital? A good man loves other. A better man loves God. A great man loves God and lives well among others! I miss you daddy!

| Posted about 5 years ago I don't know many RNs that change sheets. It's usually the CNAs duty. But they should be changed whenever they are soiled.Every 2 hours is alot, but if that's what he needs, then it should be done. You could have asked to speak to the Charge Nurse who would make sure the CNAs are doing their duty. Sometimes it gets busy and hectic and some things get overlooked. If you are there with your Dad, you could gently remind someone that he needs changing. You shouldn't have to do it. |

| Posted about 5 years ago I have... in Hemet Hospital ( southern California). My friend had to wait hours for pain meds and was made to lie in feces for over an hour before anybody decided to do something. She was ( rip ...died 2 yrs ago) disabled with spina bifida and was an epileptic. |
