I don't know if this has been done before, but here I go. I've lived many places in this great nation, and I see people from there it excites me. Like dmaze, living in Tacoma. I miss that place, I miss the rain, the green trees and grass. I miss the being able to head up to Mt Ranier and walk in the forest. Then you could head west and hit the ocean, ocean shores. Sure do miss the slugs getting between your toes at night running through the grass without the shoes. char=I use to live in newport news, Va. I have to ask you a question. I remember a pepper steak, a kind of hamburger...any ideas?? I have never seen this or tasted it since i've left. I do miss part of VA, but the cock roaches...YIKES, don't miss them at all! The ocean and bay are greatly missed, going out crabbing. O la la, I love America!

Please don't pay any attention to my misspelled words or typos. Sorry I'll try harder next time.

squirmals-don't know about the pepper steak. I haven't traveled very much but I did go to San Antonio Texas when my son was stationed there and I fell in love with it . I'd like to live there, wide open spaces, just a different feeling, the mexican style houses, the way they dress (cowboy boots and hats and fringe) I loved it. My son was stationed in Chicago Illinois. Nothing much there but cold. We went into the city and it was at Christmas time and was beautiful and fascinating. Rode a train to get into the city. Went to Hinesville Ga. where he was stationed. Nothing there but my son and his family. Looked alittle like home. I've been to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Beautiful-like another world. Especially in the fall when the leaves are turning. It's breath-taking. I've been to Washington DC-very interesting. I've been to Reno Nevado, one of my favorite places. That was the most fun I've ever had (went there twice, hope to go again). But my favorite place so far is The Outer Banks NC, just a few miles away. We go there for vacation every year for 1 or two weeks. I love the beach. We have a beach here, Va. Beach but in NC it's like another world. Everything slows down, time stops, just a lazy, relaxing time. My whole family goes. It's wonderful. I hope to one day live there.

I am originally from Germany and I lived in Colorado Springs for a while, now I am in Cleveland Oh. Cleveland is quite possibly the most depressing place on the planet. I am trying to get into a Nursing school, any that I can afford, so far no luck
Community Colleges have 2 years of waiting periods or longer and privat colleges cost more then my family makes for tuition.
