| Posted about 5 years ago Much of this depends on where you are going to settle in the US. Basically, you can expect healthcare insurance, of which you will pay some sort of percentage, retirement benefits, ie you pay into a fund and some hospitals match what you put in up to a certain percentage. They hire you for a certain shift, but once you're working if an opening comes up you can apply to move to a different shift. You can also apply when an opening comes up to go to a specialty or another floor etc. A 90 day orientation period, of which they can terminate your employment for any reason, without fear of repercussions from a union if there is one. If you decide to go to another facility, no less than a two week notice from the date of your resignation. Inservices on equipment, before you use it. I'm sure there are quite a few things I've not mentioned but someone else will |
