I have been in contact with the infection Clostridium Difficile. When I
went to see my father at St. Paul's in Dallas, I had to help change my
dad's bedding due to constant diahhrea. Since I have my CNA, I didn't
mind at all. However, I was not paying proper attention, and did not use proper PPE. I have also been infected with C-Diff and it is horrible.
The doctor told me it could take up to 8 weeks to completely get rid of
it. Does anyone out there know the name of the two types of antibiotics that are most commonly known to treat this? Also, I could
use the name of the anti-diahhreal used also? I know I cannot get
a regular anti-diahhreal over the counter.

Flagyl or the combination of vancomycin and cefizox. Ask your doctor about an antidiarrheal, because now they're are many. If you have a tendancy for yeast infections, I'd request an antifungal to prevent further agony with either thrush or vaginal yeast infection. Betcha you never do anything without gloves again
