I can't stand people that lie. I just cannot tolerate a lier. I mean what good does it do. I work with a girl that constantly exagerates, stretches the truth and out right lies. It drives me nuts. And everyone loves her including me, but her lying is really getting next to me. I'm gonna start calling her out when I here her lie again.

I don't like being lied to either. I don't like people who won't listen to you. They've already got their mind make up and they're not even willing to listen to a different opinion. I don't like people (co-workers) who tell you all of their personal business. There's just some things I'd rather not know. I hate it when people don't cover their mouths when coughing. I don't like it when a salesperson is waiting on you and talking on her cell phone at the same time. That's rude! I don't like nurses and CNAs calling older people sweetie and honey.

I hate it too when a co-worker tells me their personal business. I had a girl the other day, first time I ever met her telling me about her alcholic husband going to jail, and her paranoid schizophrenic mother. I thought, "You don't even know me, why are you telling me this?" I also hate it when I'm talking on the phone with a friend or someone who has kids and they start talking or screaming at the kids while on the phone with me. I just want to hang up on them.

my daughter-in-law does that. I love her to death, but the whole time we're on the phone, she has to stop every 2 minutes to yell at the kids. It's so annoying. Oh that reminds me, I should call her!

When you're asking someone to do something and before you finish your sentence they're interrupting making excuses why they can't do something..............another one is when someone promises to get something done and it never is done

Another pet peeve of mine or rather something that irritates the crap out of me is people who don't follow the rules. It so irritating that it seems some can get by with alot more than others. I see people do things they shouldn't be doing and get by with it, but if I were to do the same thing I would be in big trouble for it. Why is that? It seems that those who follow the rules or do what they are suppose to, get more grief than those who don't. Does that make sense?

because the people who get away with it are better at being cons than you are. Trust me... follow the rules. I am a strong believer in karma and I believe these people who THINK they are getting away with it.... well they will have it come back to them latter on. Believe me, these things have a way of nipping you in the fanny later. Sooner or later they WILL get caught and get into trouble.

What do you call a lie? I mean is it something totally untrue ? Or does your definition of a lie include OMITING things as well. I mean I sometimes tell people things that are basically true...but some things are omitted. this was called a lie by a person I know. I call OMISSIONS with truth... HALF truths... not lies. However, I can totally understand that it can grate on you when someone lies. Do you think this is a congenital (?) liar ..... does she BELIEVE the lies she tells ?

yes that is annoying. And the ones who tell you that they will do something but dont follow through can really make it hard to trust them afterwards. May I ask , are these people who tell you that they will do something very busy when you are making the request? It could be they are well meaning and just forgot... not that it makes the act less of an annoyance or problem.

My pet peeves consist of people eating for some reason. My husband takes a bite and then scrapes his teeth against his fork. Scraping the plate with anything metal. Chewing with your mouth open. Pots and pans banging together. It is like nails on a chalk board to me.

Work wise....I just have no patience for stupid. If I have answered the same question for you more than twice please don't come ask me again and again.

NO! This is an ongoing problem here at home. I've been waiting almost two years for some boxes, in our living room to be reboxed and stored in the storage area. We had a "discussion" yesterday and a firm warning. If this isn't taken care of by a week from yesterday, those boxes of stuff are going to disappear into the dumpster. I'm sick of living in a mess. I am sick of the only one doing housework, I am sick of squalor.

I just hate it when people can follow simple instructions. Whether verbal or written. It makes you wonder it they are just that dumb, or they just don't care.

let it out sis ;)
a week from yesterday is 105 weeks to late, when's garbage day?
I would charge them $0.25 per day retro from the day of the second request (gotta give them the first one as a freebie) that's about $183.75 pay up or it gets tossed out ;)

we had another short "discussion" while I was driving her to work just about an hour ago. She had the nerve to say to me, it's always got to be done in your time.......WTF? So I calmly pointed out I've been waiting since August of 2006 for this to happen. AND she didn't work much for that first year AND she had plenty of time to do this AND it was her choice to not do it before this AND I was dead serious AND she got the message I was dead serious

And verily, verily I say unto thee that some day it shall come to pass that from the earth there shall come a thundering roar, fire and smoke, and from the darkness, fire and smoke an Angel shall rise. Thou cannot speaketh his name for Hell follows him

A very recent pet peeve is posting the same topic over 70 times. I love this site, but I dislike having to slog through 72 of the same posts to get to recent other posts. This is very rude

I have several, but my main one now is......when someone says thank you, people now are saying, no problem, not a problem instead of a plain and simple you're welcome, you're very welcome, you're most welcome. It makes me feel when I thank someone for something it was actually a problem for them.

I do not care if a person says "you are welcome" I know I have minded my manners and I do not wait to hear a response!!!

When I do something for someone, I don't expect a thank-you, but it's nice to know that what I did was appreciated.

Today I came across another one myself: people generalizing.. I work w/4 other girls in an office. Girl a) is pregnant & oftentimes has doc appts to go to, girl b) has a 2-yr old w/downs @ home, girl's c) father's cancer is in the last stage & his days are counted & she therefore is in & out the office & often visits the hospital, girl d) is an office clerk. My Friday morning started off with girl d) coming to work & noticing that only down's mom & I are in the office & says out loudly: I can't believe how you guys get away with hardly ever working! I hope I will be promoted soon into one of your position so I can start slacking off, too! And she walks away laughing. Thankfully she walked away b/c I might wouldn't have been able to tell her nicely what I did once she returned. To generalize & to speak out loud should be done carefully, at best in an environment where none of the accused are around, don't ya think? PS. I haven't missed a day yet besides vacation! TGIF!

Cheers, Julie
