I just gotta vent. I was at the DMV for 2 1/2 hours Friday just to get a copy of a title! It was maddening! It was the end of the month and out of 15 spaces, only four were operating at any given time. Come on! It's the end of the month. Every single one of them should be operating! You wait in line to get a number. Then you wait (in my case 2 hours ) to have your number called. There's lots of numbers starting with different letters of the alphabet, mine was D. They did not call a D for 50 frustrating minutes! The ladies at the windows were slow as molasses. Didn't they realize there was a mob brewing? I found another poor soul to grumble with to kill some time.I was ready to punch someone! Finally, my number was called and I just about fell over two people trying to get to the window! ( I knocked a little kid sideways-but oh well!) So I get to the window, I give the lady my VIN # and she smiles at me and says "It's not coming up!". I say "it has to. Put it in again". She tries several more times and says "I'm sorry. I don't see it". By this time, smoke is coming out of my ears. I say "I need to call my son" She says "You'll have to step out of line, cell phones are not permitted at the windows". I'm not leaving this spot and I tell her so. I get her to try several variations of the number without success. I can see she wants me to step aside. She's through dealing with me and wants to get on with the next customer. But I am not budging from this spot until I get some satisfaction! I ask her to try a different letter, substituting a U for a V. She does and success is mine at last. The woman laughs and says "What luck!" What she doesn't know is that I would have stood there until the cows came home untl she found that number in the system! They would have had to drag me away kicking and screaming! I left clutching my title tightly in my hand., victorius! But it took me awhile to calm down. I think instead of saying "Going postal", we should say "going DMV!" I do feel a little better now!

Ah yes the joys of the DMV. I went several weeks ago to get my washington license. I sat and waited for 2 hours, got to the window, only to be told my lease was not considered in the state of washington as proof of residency.......WTF? BUT get this......my nursing license and business license are considered proof of residency, did I have those? nope, so I had to leave without a new license. I went back the next day, with both business and nursing license and my utility bill.

What ever happen to that concept of customer service. I find it amazing some places you go in and they bend over backwards to help you and others put out more effort to make things difficult for you...it would have been easier to be nice and helpful from the git go.

Please don't pay any attention to my misspelled words or typos. Sorry I'll try harder next time.

Don't forget though too char that along with no customer service, is the patron who expects everyplace to be like Burger King (they all want it *_THEIR_* way)!!!!!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, worn out and screaming "Woo-hoo"!!!

well, I think it should be like that. Especially these days. When I pay my hard earned money for a service, I expect it to what I'm asking for and nothing less.
