What are you opinions? Everyone wants more pay but would the extra money go to staff or education programs for staff?

nursing homes need to be monitored more closely by the state. Some of them are appalling. I know, I worked in one that was. The patients need better care. In order to do that, the employees need better pay and incentives to stay.

I agree with you Char. I'm doing a "position paper" for English Comp and this is the subject that I've chosen. I can think of all the pros but am having a hard time coming up with any cons. So....if anybody would like to play the "devil's advocate" for me and throw some cons out there, I would appreicate it!!!!

I agree with charlita

The one con maybe, the cost of extended care facilities would have to rise in order to pay more. But then again so many ltc's are owned now by major corporations who want profit
