my advice sap is to take one day off and sleep and relax. You can't retain information studying if your mind and body is exhausted

It is very exhausting sap, I have learned not to panic and to be as calm as possible. Also, be sure you take care of yourself and find some quiet time to relax, even a nice hot bubble bath works. Just remember it is a goal you are trying to achieve and when you do, you will feel great rewards. Other than that, I believe I am forming a bald spot in the back of my head from pulling out my hair.

I went to nursing school about a hundred years ago but I still remember "white knucking" my way through it. I was my own worst enemy bringing most of the stress with me. I carried that stress with me after graduation and for years afterwards.
Being a nurse was all I ever wanted and I was so afraid of being a failure. Prepare, study smart but don't wear yourself out. Start establishing a pattern of balance now--you will need it for the rewarding but demanding road that lies ahead.
If I could go back to the beginning of my career I would have enjoyed the ride more! I truly wish that I was starting all over with you.
Best wishes for success.

Balance and taking care of yourself are so important! Don't get too run down, because then you will be of no use to yourself or others who might rely on you (family, friends, your patients!)......I know that I had a really hard time during my first semester of nursing school every time I had an exam....I was so used to getting really high marks, and when I scored "only in the 80's" on my first two exams, I was flabbergasted! It took me awhile to accept the fact that RN exams are more challenging (they are meant to be that way to prepare you for NCLEX and the "real world", and I also told myself that it was so much more important for me to have excellent clinical experiences and that it was ok to be in the "middle of the pack" test-wise.....just study and do your best, but I agree with dmazement and leesa when they say you need to try to help yourself relax....and as nursingvoice pointed out, you should also try to "enjoy the ride"!! Good luck:)

I feel your tension, sap. This month is unreal, we have two tests, a final, research paper, four journals and then a fake NCLEX test. Trying to figure out what is the most important and what to do first. I'm not even working on the NCLEX, if we don't pass it we have to go to a tutorial class (although it's the day before finals...not good). I think I'm just stressing because just one mistake and no graduation in May.

Please don't pay any attention to my misspelled words or typos. Sorry I'll try harder next time.
