Posted about 1 year ago hello all.. i took my nclex-rn exam yesterday and did the whole thing. (265 questions).. had 26-28 select all that apply questions, 9 math questions, a lot of infection control, pharma, priority, who would you see first and even easy questions which i think are non-passing and 1 question was repeated! (im not sure why.. but im sure it was the same question!!).. honestly, im not expecting to pass, specially when i got those select all that apply questions ( HATE THOSE Qs!!!, im pretty sure i got most of them wrong). and to make things worse, i got the last question(pysch) wrong. im really disappointed with my performance yesterday b/c according to kaplan, i was already ready. got a score of 68% on question trainer 6 and 69% on q. trainer 7. averaged on low 60s on my q-bank. my mind went totally blank during the exam and cant remember anything... does anyone know if PSYCH questions are passing or non-passing questions? i kinda get the feeling that it is at the lower level.. and if im right, then i surely failed the board exam. i think itll take me a month to find out the results. feel sick to my stomach. i think ill just start studying again.... |

Posted about 1 year ago Dude, just wait for the results. Most everyone I know thought they failed regardless of whether they did or not. Why does it take a month to find out?? You've just taken boards & got the screw of all 265. Can't read into it. You're a little benzo deficient right now so try to find your results as soon as possible & go from there.

Posted about 1 year ago Sublime, Did you get your results yet? You can always go onto the website and get "unofficial" results of your state allows it. You just have to pay 8 dollars or something like that. Let us know how you did! Lori

Posted about 1 year ago I took it 8 1/2 years ago and got over 200 questions. I swear they just randomly pick who is going to get all the questions. I had a friend who took it, got only the 75 questions and failed, so don't sweat it either way! I do know some of the questions on there are "preliminary" questions that they are trying out, so they don't count. THINK POSITIVE and good luck!

Posted 3 months ago Wow, seeing this post again, im glad i can now say, im happy that i passed the NCLEX on first try, with 265 questions also. I think the number where you stopped cannot be used as a determinant whether you passed or failed the exam. Its really hard to tell... "happiness depends upon ourselves"

| Posted 3 months ago A friend of mine took hers and the same thing happened. She did all the questions, but she passed. Don't worry about it. You probablly passed. If you are smart enough to get through nursing school, you are smart enough to pass the NCLEX. A good man loves other. A better man loves God. A great man loves God and lives well among others! I miss you daddy!

Posted 3 months ago Probably, yeah, you could also cling to your "intuition" if you think most of the questions are kinda easy to you...guess you could say there's a big possibility that you passed! "happiness depends upon ourselves"

Posted 3 months ago A friend of mine who is now a nursing instructor and also on the board that decides which questions are on the Ohio NCLEX exam told me that when a person gets all 265 questions it is because they are right on the pass/fail line (which is 72%) and that when you get to question 265 if you answer it correctly, you pass. Incorrectly and you fail. I do not know how true this is, but she is a truthful lady. Nursing demands extremely high ethics red44pc@yahoo.com

Posted 25 days ago I did my nclex today and felt like I didn't pass. I figure being an international nurse, they really wanted me to do the 265 questions. I think i got the last question right. If what the other lady said is trully about getting the last question right, then i think i've passed.

Posted 22 days ago I passed. And yes, I got number 265 right. For any future nclex takers who happen to get 265 questions, give your last question the best shot so that you can be assured of passing. The pearon vue trick is also true. It gave me the pop up, and I passed. My name was listed on my BON a day after I took the test. AM one happy person.

Posted 20 days ago You may have been hard for the computer to read which is why you got all 265 questions. I had 190 and I passed. Alot of my friends had 75, they passed also. I was told at an NCLEX review class, that how many questions you get does not determine a pass or fail. The questions are designed by difficulty. If you miss a hard question, the computer goes back to easier questions that gradually get harder. Essentially its trying to see if you just messed up one hard question, or if there is a pattern of missing only hard questions. I remeber getting a really easy question: What electrolyte is usually depleted by the drug Lasix?" I was horrified and figured I must have misssed a hard question, so the computer was starting a square one.Hence, 190 questions. Claire Kruszka

by the way sublime, how long was the waiting for you? im glad you made it!
