In 2000, my nursing license was revolked due to my drug use. Since I have stopped using drugs, I have decided to attempt to return to nursing. I don't know anyone I can ask for advice as I have been out of the field for so long. Do I work on my license reinstatement first or prepare for retaking the boards. I want to do this right but I am overwhelmed. Where do I start?

The first thing you do is contact the state board of nursing who revoked your license. They will tell you what to do

You probably would also need to take a refresher course at a local community college or teaching hosptial. This will helo you to learn about any new nursing laws, techniques, etc. Good Luck!
