Posted almost 6 years ago I've been getting several messages from nurses immigrating to the US. These nurses would like information on the process before and after passing the NCLEX. Has anybody gone through this process? Do you have any advice that you could give to those going through it for the first time? |

| Posted over 5 years ago You might get in touch with the state board and ask what they require. I imagine states differ in what they want. You may need to have your transcript, grades, diploma, class sylibus translated into english. Most do not require that a professional translater do the work. You could do that yourself. Also you will need for your license and diploma to be certified by the ministery of exterior or the consulate if you are already here. It is a lot of work and time consumeing. Have certified copies made so that your diplomas are not made ugly with stamps and so forth. Good luck |

| Posted over 4 years ago This is a very difficult thing. I was assisted by my travel company. I needed a letter of offer for work, a TN work visa, passed the NCLEX, needed a Visa Screen from CGFNS which took about 8 months and was somewhat expensive, apply for social security card for work purposes. I came from Canada in 2003 and it appears it has become more complicated since then! Good luck! |
