Hey everyone. Can anyone tell me how long an LPN has to work in the medical field before she can begin the bridge to RN?

This is true and truth be told being an experienced LPN makes it easier to transition. Those that have no experience may be book smart but the real life experience is really what makes or breaks you!

I know Nursing school is going to be a challenge and is very time consuming.  The only LPN in my area is during the day which is difficult because I have to work full time in order to support my children.  I was aiming to go into RN but that has been a struggle trying to get all the basic courses taken.  I have dropped out of school two semesters in a row but am going to regroup myself and get back in there.  I know in the long run when it is all over with that it will be well worth all the tears.  It would be nice though if there were a night option to the LPN program.  The ADN program at one of the local colleges as started a night program mainly for people in my situation that have to work full time.
