my last health organization had navy blue for all RN's and each dept was colour specific so you always knew who was who. My present employer has an all white policy for RN's, At first I didn't like it but find that the white does identify well with the pt's and seems to bring back an old fashioned respect. I think with every one wearing scrubs and not always wearing their name tags, it is confusing to both families and visitors, If you see white you know it's an RN...makes life easy..

I wear dress clothes and white lab coat...........says my name, title and RN.....No one has ever had a problem with this.
