Posted about 5 years ago Hospitals are doing whatever it takes to get new nurses. What are the coolest perks you've heard of that would make you want to work for a particular employer? Have you heard of any outrageously fantabulous perks that have made you envious? And what do you think about the perks thing in general? |

| Posted about 5 years ago Around here there is a home health agency that provides a car for each of the nurses for as long as they are employed. I think that's a pretty good one. |

| Posted about 5 years ago It seems like hospitals taketh and not giveth. Seems like that would be better to attract good help. I think it's so much better to use honey instead of vinegar to get what you want. Please don't pay any attention to my misspelled words or typos. Sorry I'll try harder next time. |

| Posted about 5 years ago I think most nurses simply want 1. excellent health insurance 2. excellent retirement 3. excellent working conditions 4. excellent wages 5. to feel appreciated and valued 6. to be heard 7.three weeks paid vacation to start 8. 12 days of sick time None of this VTO stuff which lumps sick time and vacation time together. 9. work shifts that suits their needs 10.strong, fair management 11. fair and equitable patient to nurse ratios 12. adequate support staff |
