Preparing to got to nursing school

Posted about 5 years ago I thought I'd pose this question to you all. I'm hoping to start nursing school a year from now. I already have one degree and this would be my second. Once I get the require prerequisites like anatomy and physiology out of the way, is there anything in particular that you all would recommend I take? Originally I was going to take Organic Chemistry but then I spoke with an instructor from one of the programs I'm applying to and she suggested that I start learning spanish. As a nurse, what do you all think. I'm not completely sure what I'd want to specialize in, but I'm sort of leaning towards geriatrics. I'm going to volunteer at a hospice this summer to get a feel for it. |

| Posted about 5 years ago my personal opinion it would be great to have spanish! i myself have decided that i need to take spanish, it's not a pre requisite nor a requirement for me, but i know that it makes life a little easier to be able to communicate with those whose native tongue is spanish! i don't think it would hurt, it may make you more valuable to the company at which you apply when you complete school! |
