Has anyone been awarded scholarships?

Posted about 5 years ago I am registered with fastweb.com - the site where scholarships are solicited. So far, I applied for two scholarships but I feel like a needle in a haystack. Has anyone actually been awarded any scholarships and if so, how much altogether did you get monetary-wise? |

| Posted about 5 years ago not me, I applied also. I know a girl who applied for one of the scholorships, and got 12,000. It works, if they like your essay. I am a proud mother of three beautyful daughter. I currently live in Los Angeles California. I've worked as a heathecare provider for almost 10 years. I am curently in school to pursue my MSN in nursing, and wants to work as a pediactric nurse, in public health. |

| Posted about 5 years ago Try for one of the scholarships listed on nurselink, this is what I am planning to do, or a Stafford loan and apply for for repayment with the government program. Some hospitals also offer scholarships if you commit working for them after graduation ( sounds like a perfect deal to me). |

| Posted about 5 years ago Sinimin, although I too am registered with Fastweb, and I check it pretty frequently, I don't really like it. I feel that a lot of their scholarships are Internet contests ("Who has the Cutest Baby?" or "Who Would Your Pet Vote For?") or grants/fellowships for graduate students. I get pretty annoyed. I know the NIH (National Inst. of Health) offers pretty big scholarships every year, and so do hospitals, so long that you sign a contract to work at a certain facility for a few years. My stepmother said that her hospital, as part of the signing bonus, forgave 15-20% of her loans every year. There are options, girls! We'll get through it! |
