I am feeling helpless and a little frustrated. I have been researching Nursing programs (CNA, LPN, and RN). I am trying to become a nurse but when I go online to request information (ex Western Career College) I get a message that says, "Sorry we do not accept inquiries from your zip code". How can a school discriminate like that? Does anyone know the reason behind this? Or has this happened to anyone else in California? How can I get into nursing when I can't even inquire?

I don't know, that is odd.
Where in CA are you? maybe you should look up what community colleges are near you, and see if they offer nursing programs. They usually have their info online without having to "request" it.

That's what I would suggest as well, local community colleges. Besides they happen to be cheaper than the private places. They normally have course information on their websites. Pretty easy to find the information that way.

Thank you. I will be taking prerequisites for the nursing program at my local community college in the fall. What type of jobs can you hold while in nursing school? I will have to work full time.
