I do not have my CNA and just got accepted to a private school (Western Career College in Sacramento) LVN program . So I don't think so.
Good luck to you, don't ever quit.

Hello i just want you to be encouraged!! I have my Ged, and I am finishing my cna class,

It is a lot of pressure, I am doing all this by praying. I do not know if you believe in Jesus Christ, but if you do not know him get to know him. Cna class was not hard, i just finished my clinicals and final exam. I wanted to go into cna first becouse I wanted exsperience, the funny thing is know i am seeing a lot of nurses mainly giving out meds do even nursing is a toll on you. stay in school and get your cna and go to nursing school i want to start my pre.. but just trust God.......

Be blessed,

It all depends on the school you choose.  Some schools require you take the CNA course.  At my school they are now requiring the 150 hour course, which means 2 semesters.  You don't have to take the state boards, but I would advise that you do.  I think it's wonderful that you are continuing your education...hang in there, use this site....it helped me keep my sanity through nursing school!!!
