I Lost my job a year ago and my credit has tanked since. Losing my house, car rep…etc. I have been in school for a year now pursuing acceptance into a nursing program. Will my bad credit prevent me from being hired by a hospital? I am also considering bankruptcy, will that have any negative effect? Thank you for responses.

Interesting question. You would think that would have some place on an application or background check. Actually I filled out a long app., and it had one page I signed for them to look at my credit. They said it was done to see the "responsibility of the individual" in their lives. hmmmmm I have a problem with just the drug check. Not b/c I do illegal drugs. It is the meds for my pain that hopefully will not be a problem.

I think you should concentrate on your education and not let your personal money problems get in the way of your year you have already put in!! Maybe bend some ears and ask around..........

Big 10, that' sounded like a short version of the Serenity Prayer; something that we could all benefit from........
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
