We have now been encouraged to purchase our own kevlar, EXCUSE ME ? I think I am right in having "a problem" with this, and as Mick pointed out in our meeting with the powers that be, "we are landing with 700lbs of HOT fuel, kevlar ain't gonna do squat".( he used another word) But besides that, why should we fly into or be subject to, a "war zone". Plus the costs for these things in the "female form fitting" style is rediculous. (hey a girl has to look good ;) )

we willl follow the same rules as ground crews, scene safety first, we DO NOT become added victims. And since Chicago PD is now using the same firepower the gangs are (M-4) there is no way in hell I will put us anywhere near cross fire. Yes I know you are a brown belt and can defend yourself, but there has to be a line somewhere. As with NIU when they landed us across from the building still not having a completely secure scene or knowing if there was a second shooter.
