Got a job offering working as a Child Healthcare Worker at a Pediatric Group home with children with HIV. The position entitles the work of a CNA it onle pays minimum wage? I figure it would look good on my resume because i want to eventually be a Ped Nurse. but  Is this a dangerous job? just looking 4 some advice form the nurses?

It would be great experience. With any direct care position there is always going to be a risk. As long as you use the proper PPE then everything should fine. We always work assuming that everyone has an infectious disease, so actually knowing there IS an infectious disease should make it easier to work with. You will have protocols in place that you will have to follow to work there as well. Plus, you would be able to decide if you really want to work in peds. I have worked in peds for about 13 years, and it can be tough sometimes! I love it though! Good Luck!

well, it is indeed a great experience if ever but it is really dangerous on your part, as i have read you are a novice in this kind of job and consider it as a difficult one. try to be more carefull. with the "minimum wage"?  ask if its negotiable, i mean that one is risky?
