A report from the California Labor and Workforce Development Agency came out today and said that nursing programs in CA are projected to graduate 10,391 RNs this year, a 68% increase since 2003-2004! For those of you in California, or anyone following the California Nurse Education Initiative...what do you think? It seems like Gov. Schwarzenegger's task force is working...Do you think similar initiatives should be developed in other states?

I want to seee what the pass rate is before I comment. There are 3 year waiting lists out there now and many new and old private schools are trying to get programs. It is Quality not Quantity for me...:)  There are 3 nurses for the state of California that work with the bvnpt....and they are swamped... Are these RN's /LVN's or both????
