i thougt that this would be a good idea for nursing students that have just started or will soon be starting nursing school. we can chat about what to expect, how to prepare and offer each other encouragement......any new nursing students out there??

hey! im a newbie to nursing too.. im starting second year but havent gotten into clinicals yet. nursing was my calling after i choose to go to school for psychiatrics so i changed my major...hows school going so far?

i start the nursing program in sept of this year.....i have already completed my co reqs.....i did this to make it a tiny bit easier on me since i have three little ones and a hubby at home :)   my clinicals will start in oct. of this year. i am very nervous, but at the same time anxious and excited.  i have worked so hard for this and feel that there is no way i will not finish :)  so, for the second year students, what are your opinions of the first year?  did you balance work/family/school/ect. ??  how did it work out?  did you give anything up for nursing school?  if so, was it worth it??
