Hi all, since I'm a nursing student without a degree, I'm limited to externships instead of internships. I was just wondering what you guys think is the best time to start looking for summer externships.  Also, I'm taking my med-surg rotation in the spring semester but most applications are due before that.  Am I still eligible by taking my peds/ob rotation and then completing med-surg before the externship begins?  Do any hospitals offer housing options (I'm looking to go out of state and explore but would definitely need housing/won't bring a car with me)?
