What Do RNs Make on Call?

Posted almost 6 years ago I work as a CNA, but I would like to become an RN at some point - one of the biggest draws has always been the extra on call pay. I have an RN friend who works Mon - Fri and all the staff nurses take turns taking "call" for the weekend. She gets two hours of overtime pay, and overtime for any hours she works if she gets called in for an emergency. If you are a nurse that goes on call - how much do you make? I'm interested to see if it varies around the country too. |

| Posted almost 6 years ago My friend who is an RN makes half-time if she is on call but does not get called in. If she does get called in, she makes time and a half. |

| Posted over 5 years ago I am an RN and take call every six weeks. Our facility pays us an extra 8 hrs (base pay) for our on-call weekend whether we get called in or not. |
