Posted about 5 years ago Hey everyone, We were thinking of including some new topics on NursingLink, and I was hoping I could get your opinion. These would be new sections with articles and information on the applicable topics. Please let me know if you think any of the following would be helpful/not helpful and if you, or your NursingLink friends, would use it: - Work-Life Balance section (information and articles on how to balance your work life and your non-work life; how to avoid burn-out and stress, etc) - Work-School Balance section (information and articles on how to manage going to school and working at the same time) - Working Parents section (information and articles on balancing working and/or going to school while raising a family). Feel free to respond here for send me a message with your input! Thanks, everyone! |

Posted over 4 years ago I really like the new addition "Most Recent Topics" I've been wanting this on here. It makes it easy to see what's been posted lately. Thank you!

Posted over 4 years ago I think that all three topics are very applicable and would be very resourceful for many people (myself included!). I just have a question that I would like to address. How would these topics differ from the group forums that already exist and deal with these topics? I know for sure that there is already a group called "balancing family and nursing." I just want to make sure that they would not be redundant. Thanks for your attention to this matter.

Posted over 4 years ago Could we have a bulletin board type post to place notes, questions, etc.

Posted over 4 years ago I like the new additions and think they will help everyone on this site. I like the bulletin board thought as well. Good idea cdnurse! Maybe a "HOT SPOT" where someone who needs info ASAP can be an additional section. Like HELP with something real important or urgent. A 911 center possibly. I look forward to seeing some changes on the site.

Posted over 4 years ago That 911 center is a good idea. I have seen students posting on here needing info now for a care plan, paper, etc. The bulletine board could be separte. The bulletin board for things like Whered id I see this or that post? or Who said this? or Who asked me about?

Posted over 4 years ago I also like the 911 center idea where we can quickly check for pertinent/time-sensitive conversations and questions from other members....GREAT Idea!!!!

Also, that could be linked like the Inbox is. The nurses who are linked to that 911 center would get an alert in their email (Hotmail or whatever) when someone posts to it. I think students get discouraged when they post a question or a need and don't get any responses for several hours. |

Posted over 4 years ago They get discouraged, get in a panic, and think no one cares. Too often the questions they post get lost

Posted over 4 years ago Oh, and perhaps a way to update the "Gifts" available? They haven't changed much, and I think they are just too cute not to update more often!

Posted over 4 years ago Can we have an online chat? It seems hard to talk at times with others. At least through this, questions can be answered immediately. It promotes interaction among members as well...
