Your Turn

Do you remember growing up and having

to wait your turn?

Playing baseball you wanted to bat, but

you had to wait your turn?

During hide and seek you wanted to hide,

but you had to wait your turn?

You walked into a video arcade to play your

favorite game, but you had to wait your turn?

I hope you learned patience in your

younger years

Because today you see me as an old man

or lady sometimes full of tears.

Just remember that some day you will

be in my place and it will be your turn.

Your turn to wait to be helped with

getting dressed or bathed or fed.

So please be patient and kind with me.

For I look to heaven every day and

patiently wait my turn.
