| Posted about 1 year ago Hi! I was eligible to take the exam, however I got expired. Now, I am applying again. Do you think being eligible before counts for me to be eligible now? Thank you.:) |

| Posted about 1 year ago Hi, I have already a license from vermont. I passed the nclex on year 2006. I graduated last 2005, and passed the board on that same year. I had my endoresement done from vermont to california. I received letter few weeks ago asking all those other requirements like my SS number, passport, and my DR and OR cases. I read that they will asked to study 2 more years on your OB and MS. On this matter, I have already masters in PH on medical-surgical nursing, and had my midwife license on year 2009 because I took the exam on midwifery. I called my evaluator regarding on this issue, and she told me, she is waiting for my other documents if Im concurrent or not. I told her, Im afraid Im not since I very well remembered that I finished my DR cases on the first semester of 4th year, on that note she said " you are non concurrent I suppose" but still she will wait for my docs to check. then I told her "what If i had masters on my ms?", (though Iwasnt able to tell her that I had midwifery license coz she was in a hurry over the phone) and she said, " I believe california dont accept masters from the philippines"..I told her I would send her my TOR on my masters, and she said no need. But my husband thinks its better for us to send it, so that at least I could still have their consideration on my part. I am still waiting for their reply..
Anyone who has masters and midwife here? pls your advice is greatly needed.. |

Somehow I feel hesistant to because of all the issues that I have read and heard. But I really love to pursue this profession but the thing is I don't want to go back to School again. | Posted 11 months ago Hello, everyone. I'd like to apologize in case you find my post negative. I am a US immigrant residing here in California. I took my first NCLEX-RN in 2010. Unfortunately, I failed I submitted my application to RE-exam and since I haven't gotten any response from BON, I decided to give them a call. I was told to wait for a letter in the mail. Apparently, they recently sent me a letter which I might receive next week. I was told that I need to submit my clinical logs and that this paper should come directly from my school in the Philippines. I did ask if it's necessary to do that since I have an active file with them and I have already submitted all the necessary papers with my initial application? The person I spoke with could not elaborate, but she said "all you have to do is to provide us with this requirement. Unless you're able to provide this, you can't take the exam." I was initially bummed out because I know tha this will take a long time. THEN I decided to research on this and stumbled upon this forum. I'm soooo scared. Although I haven't gotten the letter in the mail, I think I know where this is going to lead. After reading all the posts here I know I will be denied to take the exam. I did finish my clinicals before I graduated, However I know I did not take my clinicals on the same semester I had my theory. Should I apply for another state? Which state would you recommend? I am willing to relocate as honestly, I don't like it here in California.

| Posted 11 months ago So it seems to be that the program is not complete in the Phillipines per the CBON.. I actually think that this may be a national law. So, I wish you the very best of luck and hope that all of your papers are in order... Teresa |

It doesn't matter=( Just got off the phone. Spoke with a BON representative. I took the exam once and I recently applied for a re-exam, they are now asking me for my clinical duties/hours/dates/etc. I told them I already completed the requirements during my initial application, but it apparently does not matter. |

| Posted 11 months ago Hi.. everyone... Im BSN graduated in d Philippines. I sent my application for NCLEX to BON last month and I got a reply from them asking for one rquirement... The letter says: A copy of your entire visa and /or passport for timeframe in nursing school. CLEAR OF ALL PAGES ARE REQUIRED INCLUDING BLANK PAGES. I got 2 questions I hope somebody here could help me... 1. )Are they only asking for the copy of my pasport and my visa? Is that it? or do this means something? Because I already sent them d copy of my visa and passport but that was not all the pages... 2.)Are they still going to ask for another requirements if ever I'll be sent them the one they are asking? because I already sent all the requirements which I think they might be asking from me like my RLE, CASES, and others.... Thank you very much... Your respond will be so much appreciated... Thank you again... |

| Posted 11 months ago Hiya, It sounds to me that they are asking you for #1 on the list.. Go with that.. If you are concerned, why don't you just call them and get the information right from their mouths? Best of luck to you..Please keep us posted..Teresa |

I agree with Teresa. They are only asking for #1. I understand your concern. You probably heard from the grapevine that there were several instances when CA-BON asked for more requirements after satisfying what they initially asked for. Sad to say, we have no way of knowing this. Only your evaluator knows. Best of luck to you and please do keep us updated. |

| Posted 7 months ago pls help me on this one, i took my 3x first was nov of 2011 my test was cancelled bcoz i used my phone so then they send me a letter to appeal, after sending them my appeal they did not approve it, it says i can re appeal again and they will check it every 2 months or i can just decided not to appeal , so since didnt want to wait that long i checked the box for cancel my test and my right to appeal, after couple of weeks i recieved re examination. So the 2nd one i failed recieved a bad pop up so they send me another rexamination i took my test july 21,2012 and got the good pop up for 2months of waiting. And i got a letter today saying denial of application for licensure because of what happen on nov 21,2011. I can request for hearing within 60 days after 60 days my right for hearing will be deemed waived and request to wait one year before reapplying for licensure. And i forgot to mention that if i cancel my appeal and appeal they will go ahead and do the process of making a decision if im going to retake the exam or not. So when i got the re examination i thought their decision was to let me retake it.. could it be a system error?i need an advice thanks.! |
