I sent my application thru LBC (May 11), and I got a response three weeks later (June 3). They were asking me for addtl requirements so I mailed them for the 2nd time thru LBC pa rin (June 24). After three weeks, I received my eligibility letter. (july 21)

wow cp0828... your application was approved so fast, just less than 3 months? lucky you.. heheh..

thanks for the info cp0828.. what if i came from 2 different schools during my h.s. do they need my  transcripts from both schools? or just the one i graduated from? help please

hi. im a bit confused over here. Im a blue passport holder. tapos ganito. pinasa ko ung application ko sa BON. nagpadala sila ng letter. ang sabi dun sa letter, kailngan ko daw ng photocopy ng license ko dito sa pilipinas. or ung letter of explanation nga.

nung nagapply kase ako, nagpadala ako ng letter of explanation. nakalgay dun sa letter na KUMUHA AKO NG BOARD EXAM DITO SA PHILIPPINES AND INAANTAY KO PA UNG RESULT. KAYA WALA AKONG MAPAKITANG LICENSE.

TAPOS UN, NAGPADALA NA NG LETTER UNG BON NA KAILNGAN.

what should i do? needing your urgent point on this one.

 I dont understand, minsan parang nawawala yata ng BON yung mga letters na sinasubmit eh. Kagaya ng nangyari sa akin, its my 2nd time na send yung TOR ko, matagal na nila na receive based on my tracking number yung una. Pero di pa narereceive ng analyst ko. Pero yung unang letter na submit ko eh certified true copy lang, yung 2nd time eh orig na.. Ngayon natangap na nila.Ngayon naman send ko yung copy of my passport, 2nd time din!, based on my return card na receive na nila! Kakainis ngayon tumawag ako di pa rin narereceive ng analyst ko!.Imagine nung july 27 na yun ha! ngayon eh aug 2 na!! kakainis.

after 3 months of waiting for my school to submit all my requirements finally the BON sent me a letter stating that "THE PROGRAM YOU COMPLETED IN YOUR COUNTRY DOES NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSURE AS A REG. NURSE IN CA."

here is the exact copy of the letter:

i called BON and talked to my program analyst. I asked her why am i not eligible to take the NCLEX in which i did all submitt the necessary documents they were asking. And she told me that in my TOR it only shows that i only did 3 semesters and 2 summers and its supposed to be 4 sems and 2 sems. While im having a conversation with her i pulled out my transcripts and checked, and i did see that i completed 4 sems and 2 summers. I asked her to please check again my documents maybe that she misread it. And she just told me that she dont have my documents right now, and just tell to my school to send another TOR(complete page) because she was insisting that i only did 3 sems n 2 summrs. And she told me that she havent received the last documents she asked which is my clinical rotations,schedule,time and the rest. But according to my school they sent everything they need. Its ridiculous, I felt that she was lying because if they havent received the last documents they need, why did they sent me a letter telling me that i didnt meet all the req.for taking the exam,on which obviously they received the docs. i kept trying myself to calm down while i was talking with the analyst, cuz i dont want to create bad impression on her. I asked her if that's the only reason why i was denied, and she come up with these reason that i dont hold a license, on which i already sent and explanation to her why i dont have, and she argued that i do have a choice to take it, and how come i didnt take it. I told her that i do have a choice and my choice is to be with my husband because he petitioned me right after i finished my school. I felt like she was looking for an excuse. Then the conversation ended up telling me to just sent all the requirements she told me on which it was sent already(i believed). Im so stressed with these situation.

Gateway: i dont have a list of accredited school in Ph. But i am sure that my school i went to is accredited. Some of my classmates and teachers there took their NCLEX with no problem.

Im new here gusto ko lang malaman if i still need to take a local board exam sa pinas? kung sa pinas ako magaaral this 2010? do i need to be a liscenced nurse sa pinas bago ako makapag take ng NCLEX sa california? by the way im an immigrant na here in california need ko lng magaral sa pinas... plss i need ur help!

I just want to share that finally i got a call from BON telling me that i am now eligible to take the NCLEX. I asked what was the problem why i was denied, and told me that the lady who reviewed my files overlooked one of my semesters. Just like what i expect. What a relief!! It was an overwhelming stress waiting for that.,Thank you for advices,really appreciate.

Gitano: i will keep posted for sure, and u will hear more from me if i start reviewing,heheh..after all the obstacles i came through it just makes me more excited to review and more determine to pass the exam..I hope i will still feel the rush up to the end.:)

Well, yeah. I did. It's a lot cheaper and depending on the school, they provide quality education. You should research on nursing schools and their local board passing rate. My friend who just moved here a year ago said that the good thing about nursing in the Phils. is that the nursing program teaches general nursing instead of having to choose a specific area of nursing like in some colleges in the states. BS nursing is the your degree to become a RN.

i'm nursing graduate from the philippines, but already here in states since last year under student visa. is it possible that i could take my nclex exam here in california while i dont have my local licence ? how about in the letter of explanation do i need to declare it that im under student visa that's why i cant take the local board? thanks

 

as long as you have a social security number, you can always apply in california even without local license.. but if you dont, they wont accept you..

i have a problem the school sent all my requiremnts 3 times already and when i checked the tracking no. was said that they receive it in the mail room and someone signed it. and when i called the CABON it was said that they are sill waiting for the requiremts and itold them it was sent 3 times already...

what should i do? do i need to tell the school to put the file no. together with the requiremnts they send?

  is it necessary that the school will  put the file no in the requiremts that they will send?

@ GITANO_RN, i called the school  and they said they sent it 3 times already and they gave me the tracking number of the ups. and also my aunt went to school and checked it if they surely sent the documents and she said yes they sent it 3 times.. im just worried becoz when i checked the tracking no.it was said that it was arrive at the mail room and someone signed for it..

and when i called the CABON no. the operator said that they are still waiting for my RLE requirements... and i told him that the school sent 3 times already ... so what i did i called the school and told them if they can send again my requiremts and  i gave them my file no. and they said yes.. and hopefully the CABON will receive the requiremnts and they will not lost it..  this is the 4th time they will send the requiremts... HOPEFULLY THEY RECEIVE IT..

PLS. PRAY FOR ME THAT THEY WILL RECEIVE IT..

hi, i've been having the same problems with others here, wherein i got a letter from bonca asking for my class sched, clinical rotation, enrollment, and passport/visa. the passport/visa, i've sent with my application form, the others, i'm certain that its part of the school transcript that has been sent to them, and signed for. it was signed for two days before my application got signed for on the tracking. right now i'm going to wait a few weeks, maybe in Jan '11 before i call them and see if they did get my school papers. -_-'
