I'm still a little bit away from applying to the nursing program at the University of Colorado at Denver, but Im very curious about the waiting list things I hear about. I've heard the waiting list here is about 2 years, and that many schools are the same.

Does this mean that I apply, get accepted, then wait 2 years?

Or does this mean that I apply and they let me know in 2 years?

And what's a girl to do to remember and stay in top student form in the meantime to hit the ground running when I get back to school? Seems ridiculous to have such a long wait! Rawr! But I really want to do this, so I guess I'll wait.

Hi,

At my college i was always hearing that there was a waiting list as well (around 2 years) but you are right about schools being different. My school just changed it to where it is just purely competition. My advice to you is that you make sure that there are not any prereqs that you need before the core nursing program classes. Because it took me nearly 2 years to finish all of mine. That is what i worked on while waiting to get into the program. Good luck!!!
