Posted almost 5 years ago Well hey there everyone. I haven't seen any new post lately. I am starting to feel a little lonely. That is okay though, we all need alone time. Now is mine. Carlitta how is your Grandson doing? Is the Concerta still working for him? Hey Love a Nurse Aide, what good things have you found out lately? I have been soooo busy with work I haven't really been able to post much. Just wondering what everyone is up to and if anyone has anything to let us all in on or any updates. My little Vickie is going to skip 5th grade math and go from 4th to 6th grade math levels next year. I don't know how many 5th graders will be doing it but I figure why not. I am hoping that it will help her be a little calmer. We are switching dance studios. Not much else for now. |

| Posted almost 5 years ago Well, my grandson was doing well for awhile, then we noticed the medication started to wear off in the evening around 5pm and he would get all wound up. He went back for a check-up and the doctor increased his medication slightly (he was on the lowest dose). This just happened so we don't know if it will make a difference yet. But my question is- if his body continually adjusts to the increased doses, will he just keep getting higher and higher doses and what happens when he reaches the limit? Another question-he is complaining of frequent headaches (taking Concerta). And complaining of noises bothering him like alot of people talking at the same time in restuarants. Dr. was concerned and ordered a CT Scan of the head which was normal. He said the medication shouldn't cause headaches. His eyes were checked and he has 20/20 vision. He does have alot of allergies and asthma, tho he hasn't had a flare up of asthma in a long while. His Dr. thinks he may have migraines. Isn't he young to be having mgraines? And are headaches related to this medication? His step- brother takes medication for bipolar and ADHD and complains of headaches on a regular basis. |

| Posted almost 5 years ago hey char, I know that it may sound crazy, but have you thought about a chiropractor for the HA's? I've had a number of pt's who complain of similar symptoms, have had the same negative result exams, and tried a "back cracker" and said it worked great. He may just need an ocassional adjustment...
just an idea. Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, worn out and screaming "Woo-hoo"!!! |

Wow-that is something I would never have thought of. Very strange. But we may get to that point. |

| Posted almost 5 years ago My mom is a Chiropractic Assistant. We all know that Chiropractic care is holistic and it all stems from the central nervous system. Working on the spine and manipulating bones when they are out of place (subluxation) can leave you feeling better. I know people who go to the Chiropractor for treatments for the allergies instead of getting the injections. People give Chiropractors a "bad name", but I like them and believe they can help the body naturally. |
