I worked on a neuro floor with no special neuro training, but I did have years of home care experience. Most specialty areas want you to have at least one year of med-surg experience. Florida Hospital in Orlando offer programs for specialty nursing areas so check out your  local hospitals. With the nursing shortage you may find what you want with training provided right out of school. Good luck.
