A year ago I decided to go and take some math and science courses so that I could take the TEAS test to get into the LPN program here in St. Louis, MO. I took the entrance exam yesterday and I got my test results back today. I passed on the english, math, and reading. However I missed the science by 2 questions. I called the school and asked if I could be admitted into the program since I only missed by 2 questions and I was told flat out " no sorry". That really took alot out of me because I really tried.

I am so sorry to hear that. Just do not give up. Take the test again. Do they notify you of where your weak spot is? Try finding a school that does not require taking the stinkin’ test. Do not give up.

You do not see Hillary giving up do you? (:

Maybe you can take the test again. You can't let this stuff disappoint you. I couldn't get into one nursing program at one school cause my IQ test wasn't high enough...................I was a grouch for a while but I just went to another school, took another entrance test and made it in! I graduate next year! Keep your spirits up!! If this is what you truly want to do, you can't let nothing stand in you way. GOOD LUCK. Keep us all posted.

P.S. I'm great in science..........my downfall was always math. LOL

Well, it looks like I may have found another school. I contacted the St. Louis College of Health Careers and it seems that they have an LPN program there in Fenton, MO. I have scheduled an appointment with them for Thursday the 5th of June at 12p. I will keep you all posted. I want to say thank you to all of you for the encouraging words it has been a big help. Thanks again.

I met with the admissions staff at the St. Louis College of Health Careers and it looks promising. I have to take their entrance exam which doesn't look difficult. I bought the study guide and I am studying it. I  sent off for my transcript to be sent to the college and I have sent off for the back ground check. I have to get three reference letters which is not a problem. I have to do a two page essay in my own handwriting any topic I chose. I chose for a topic: being an lpn and why it matters to me. I am at one and a half pages of the two pages done on that. Then I have to have a personal interview with the practical nursing program representative. I believe that I can accomplish the tasks set before me. The September class is full and the next class starts in January of 09.

Don't give up...you are obviously smart if you only missed it by two points.  Take it again.  You'll pass.  I have faith in you.  I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, okay?
