I only have one more prerequisite and to go and I will be applying in January 09 to community colleges and universities.   I hope I can get in. I'm trying to stay optimistic.  I have had recruiters for other fields telling me that I should reconsider being a nurse because I may not get into the program.  It is very discouraging when you have university rep telling you to give up on your dream.  Although I do have an alternate major, Health Education.  But if I dont get in the program i will continue to apply.

apply to as many schools as you can and hang in there. It will happen

 Don't  let college counselors discourage you.  I remeber when I first started at community college I want to go into Forensics, the first thing the counselor told me was " someone has been watching too much C.S.I."  I was so mad, I don't even watch that show.  Well anyways half the time they dn't know what they are talking about anyway.  You keep appyling.....I applied to two community colleges and both programs were lotteries of about a million people!  And guess what I got into both on the 1st try! So don't be discouraged. GOOD LUCK!

Keep applying.  you may be on a wait list but its worth the wait.  I will be done 5/09 and its the best thing I could have ever done.
