| Posted almost 5 years ago First thing that popped into my head...we recently had a group of Iraqi nurses spend a few months at our hospital in every conceivable area to "see how a health system should be run". Nurses are looked down upon greatly there and the healthcare is described as "pre-Nightengale" (sp?). Many nurses work in the hospital all day and then go to work at night, typically doing something entirely different just to make enough money to survive. Other tidbits...you're lucky if the hospital has running water; supplies like suction catheters, etc. are not washed and are reused on multiple patients. Food for thought. |

| Posted almost 5 years ago That sounds like a wonderful idea. and It actually sounds really intereting too, especailly seeing how the war is going on over there and everything. Just one more question, do you know how I would search for this information? Like would I type in health systems of Iraq or what? Thanks so much! |
