Posted almost 5 years ago Associate's degree in Medical Assisting? I may have to look into that, an actual degree would be good. Did not know that they had a degree in it, I just got the certificate from the vocational school. Anyways I am going for my RN license (slowly but surely).

Posted almost 5 years ago Do they have associates of nursing programs where you live? If you are going to get an associates in medical assisting can you just switch and go for nursing instead?

Posted almost 5 years ago hi rachel welcome the site. My community college i go to in the bay area has a medical assistant associate degree program also. It is much easier to get into that program than their nursing program so usually students that dont get into the nursing program choose the medical assistant program so they dont have to stop going to school and retain their study habits. That is a good route to take in becoming a doctor. I to wanted to be a doctor but I didnt want to go to school for so long(because i live with my mom right now...lol). Although its not out of the question because i was previously a physiology major and have all the prerequisite to transfer to a university as a biology major and then apply to medical school. I rather be a nurse first so I can get experience.
