Posted almost 5 years ago Why is it that some states have such poor nursing standards?? I live in GA and it has the worst standards I have ever seen in my nursing career!! Administration does what it wants ,nurses and CNA's, all do what they want to!! The work ethic is poor, with a capital P !! I have lived in many states and have never seen it so bad! I received my training in New York, and have over 25yrs exp. in California. I am about to leave this state, thank God. My license is too valuable to risk here in GA. I hope someday it raises it standards, and the patients get the care they deserve. If there are places out here, that are not in this category, by all means stand up and be counted!! |

| Posted almost 5 years ago People that would get ill traveling through Montana would tell us that where they came from, other states, that the care at our hospital was great. We would laugh. Then moving on to other states and seeing the different type of nursing care, I now see what these people were saying. I thought we were from the back woods, behind times. I was very surprised going to other states I always thought as being advanced and the nursing was back woods there. I couldn't believe some of the care the patients were getting, it's hard working in these environments. One place I worked nurses were yelling the 'F' word down the hall, OMG! I just have to remind myself I am responsible for my actions. I have to give the best care I can, I'll go down trying. Although there are days you go home feeling defeated know matter how hard I try. Please don't pay any attention to my misspelled words or typos. Sorry I'll try harder next time. |
