I've been a crocheter for many years and as each of my children and grandchildren are born they can count on me to crochet them a lovely blankie! I can knit a little, but this past year I had a ball crocheting shrugs for my girls and their friends. I make toys, slippers, sweaters, potholders, most anything I see as a challenge and know someone who will appreciate my efforts (lol). I can also sew but I rarely have time for that with all the grandchildren needing so much of my attention at present. After nursing school, I plan to crochet for disadvantaged babies so that they'll have a nice blankie to go home in or whatever.

That is such a wonderful idea! I love to make blankies - they are so quick & easy to make. The best project I have found for myself  though is making knit and crochet hats for some of my friends that are enduring chemo... I was inspired to share my craft years ago, when a sweet lady can and offered me a basket full of hats to pick from as I sat in the office of my oncologist. Hats can be so fun, and they are quick, you can find your inner artist while not getting bogged down by taking on a project that is over whelming, a perfect opportunity to sample new stitches and techniques! Have fun & thank you for wanting to share your art and talent!
