Posted almost 5 years ago Are medical assistants being fazed out by lpns and cnas? I found this website thats saying that new medical assistants are not getting hired right after school due to lack of experience. Does anyone have any advice on this matter? |

| Posted almost 5 years ago They always scream that they want you to have experience. My question is how do you get this expereince if no one gives you the chance. Eventually somebody will give you a break. Just keep trying to get in some where. I have four years expereince now but it was hard to get my first MA job even though I had experince in the healthcare field as a CNA , Caregiver , Unit Clerk and Ultra Sound Tech Aid. It's funny like that. |

| Posted almost 5 years ago I started out as an CMA in Ca. and went on to LVN within 5 years afterward (mostly because I couldn't utilize all my training in rural healthcare setting). Did your school not have an externship? Most of my classmates had job offers before they had completed their externship because they could put feelers out to the medical community via the office personnel they were externing with. And no MA's are not being fazed out; in fact they are in more demand at Dr's offices, clinics, even some hospitals than are LVN's....At least in California. |
